Position: Economic Reporter
Location: Cairo, Egypt

Job Summary:
The Economic Reporter will be responsible for delivering in-depth and accurate coverage of Egypt’s economic developments, financial markets, and key regional and global economic trends. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a strong understanding of macroeconomic indicators, fiscal policy, and business reporting. A proven ability to produce original content, conduct interviews, and explain complex economic issues in a clear and engaging manner is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Produce daily news reports, features, and analyses on Egypt’s economy and relevant international developments.
• Conduct interviews with government officials, economists, business leaders, and stakeholders.
• Monitor and report on economic data releases, monetary and fiscal policies, and financial market movements.
• Collaborate with editors and other reporters to ensure timely and comprehensive coverage.
• Uphold the editorial standards of Ahram Online in terms of accuracy, impartiality, and clarity.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Journalism, Political Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in economic or financial reporting.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English; knowledge of Arabic is an asset.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple assignments.
