Art Alert: Photography exhibition celebrates cinematics of late director Mohamed Khan

The four-day exhibition will offer attendees a chance to discuss Khan's work with his friends and with critics

An exhibition of photography titled Fi Hob Cinema Mohamed Khan (“For the Love of Mohamed Khan’s Cinema”) will be held at Hanager gallery from 2 to 6 August.

The exhibition will showcase images from the films of the late director Mohamed Khan, and images of the filming itself.

Critics and friends of the director are invited to attend, to encourage discussions with the viewers about Khan’s work.

Khan passed away in 2016. During his lifetime he was one of Egypt’s most prominent directors, and part of a generation of neo­realist filmmakers.

His films tackled social issues and often featured female central characters.

Programme: 
The exhibition will open on 2 August and will run until 6 August
Hanager Center, Adam Henein Hall, Cairo Opera Grounds, Zamalek, Cairo
