The director-general of the government media office in Gaza said two mass graves had been uncovered and more are expected to follow.

“We found in Nasser Complex corpses without heads, bodies without skins, and some of them had their organs stolen,” he added in a statement reported by Palestinian media.

The sources claimed that the victims had been killed by Israeli forces during their raids on the hospital complex.

Al Jazeera said that the discovery is consistent with what it documented and heard before from medical staff and evacuees inside the Nasser Hospital who managed to escape.

They told Al Jazeera horrific stories of how the Israeli military rounded up people from inside the facility, blindfolded them with their hands tied behind their backs, and killed them either by the use of quadcopters or sniper fire.

“We demand the opening of an international investigation to find out the reasons for the decomposition of the bodies of some martyrs,” the director-general said.

According to emergency services, an estimated 500 people are still missing in the aftermath of the Israeli invasion of Khan Younis, and the ensuing massacres in the city.

Mass graves have also been found at Al-Shifa Hospital, just within the past few days, and at the Kamal Adwan Hospital, two months ago.
