Six people were killed in an Israeli bombing in the city of Al-Zahraa, north of Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip; one person was killed near Khan Younis; and two others were killed when Israel bombed a residential building owned by the Ishteiwi family in Al-Zaytoun neighbourhood, south of Gaza City.

The Israeli artillery also targeted displaced people's lands and tents east of the city of Rafah, southern Gaza.

At least 34,596 people have been killed in Gaza since Israel started its genocidal war on the territory on 7 October, the Palestinian health ministry said in its latest update on Thursday.

The tally includes at least 28 deaths in the past 24 hours, a ministry statement said, adding that 77,816 people have been wounded in the strip since the war broke out.

Many victims are still under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are still unable to reach them, the ministry noted.

According to the latest update from the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, 474 Palestinians, including 116 children, have been killed in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and around 5,000 have been injured since 7 October.

It added that at least 457 were killed by Israeli forces and 10 by Israeli settlers.

Israel says that, since the war began, 263 Israeli soldiers have been killed and 1,602 have been wounded, among whom 248 were hospitalized with their injuries.
