Algerian national football team coach Djamel Belmadi has expressed his pleasure with the huge number of fans who attended the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations final against Senegal, asking them to stick with the orders, after the game, whatever the result.

"I am happy with the huge number of fans that attend the match to support the team, but I ask that they stick with the order," Belmadi told the pre-game press conference on Thursday.

"We have to respect the country that hosts the tournament,"

The game between Algeria and Nigeria in the 2019 AFCON semi finals witnessed a crowd that caused some Algerian fans to chant against other fans in the stands while the Egyptian security managed to control the situation.

"We are sorry for what happened during our fans’ celebrations after qualifying for the final. We have to respect the Egyptian security," the Algerian coach said.

“Statistics are on Senegal’s side, we might lose this game. They are on top of the FIFA’s continental ranking and they’ve reached the 2018 World Cup when we didn’t.

The 2019 Africa Cup of Nations final will be held at the Cairo International Stadium on Friday between Algeria and Senegal, with the presence of FIFA's chief Gianni Infantino.

Algeria booked their place in the tournament's final after achieving a dramatic 2-1 victory against Nigeria in the semi-final, while Senegal made it to the final by defeating Tunisia 1-0.
